The new Caraluzzi’s Wine & Spirits is on Sugar Hollow Road in Danbury.
“We are excited about the new location and the opportunity to bring our knowledge, expertise and strong customer service to the Danbury area,’’ Jennifer Caraluzzi Dimyan, executive of Caraluzzi’s Wine & Spirits, said in a press release on the store website.
"The store staff will be led by store manager Frank Avallone, who brings with him over 15 years of experience in the business. I’m confident Frank and the knowledgeable staff members will exceed customer expectations.”
Caraluzzi’s flagship store is located on Greenwood Avenue in Bethel.
It opened its Danbury location quietly on Feb. 17. Fairgrounds, named after the former Danbury Fair, still has a location in Newtown.
Caraluzzi’s also has several supermarkets in the area, but the liquor stores are operated separately.
Some changes are planned for the Danbury liquor store.
“For their new Danbury location, Caraluzzi’s Wine & Spirits plans to build on the success of the existing Fairgrounds customer base and offer an even larger selection and lower prices,’’ the press release said. “Some immediate changes will be made to help improve the customer shopping experience, and plans are in the works for a major remodel for later in the year.”
Caraluzzi’s Wine & Spirits Danbury Fairgrounds is located in a stand-alone center near the Danbury Fair Mall and the Danbury Airport. The location measures over 12,000 square feet and features one of the largest selection of wine, spirits and beers in Danbury.
