Those -- along with more standard fare such as diver-caught scallops, half-roasted chicken, and avocado toast are on the menu at Flinders Lane.

The new Stamford restaurant, open about a month, takes inspiration from the cuisines of nearby Southeast Asia and subtle influence from the food of British settlers mixed with that of Greek and Italian immigrants.

Its website says to expect "a wide array of fresh seafood and a multitude of fruits and vegetables year round combined with the Australian attitude: No fussing, no over thinking, just bold, streamlined food made with the best ingredients available and a laser focus on flavor."

The restaurant, which already operates in Manhattan, is open seven days and features a Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with $1 oysters and $6 wine and cocktails. Brunch will begin this weekend.

Flinders Lane is at 84 Summer St., 203-323-3137, www.flinderslane-nyc.com/about/.
