The store, at 83 Stony Hill Road in the Big Y plaza in Bethel, will have its soft opening Saturday, April 22, at 9:30 a.m.

The grand opening — complete with giveaways a live remote from Kicks105.5  — is set for Saturday, April 29.

Jason Holland took over what had formerly been New Balance, and said he's excited about serving the Bethel community. (See previous Daily Voice story HERE.)

The new store is an extension of what he owns in Stamford, and he will stock an abundance of apparel and shoes with items from Under Armour, New Balance, Asics, and Brooks, with more brands to come down the road.

There will also be a highly specialized selection of footwear for running, cross training, walking and tennis.

The established customer base in the area was one reason Holland opted to open a store in this space. It will be run by Erik Tonner, former manager of New Balance, and will feature the entire staff from the previous New Balance store.

Regular business hours are Mondays to Fridays 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 203-456-3314.
