BETHEL, Conn. -- Adventure traveler and photographer David Roberts of Stamford will make an audio-visual presentation to the Appalachian Mountain Club on Tuesday, June 14 in Bethel.

“It’s a Wild, Wild World" takes places at St. Thomas Church. AMC members and non-members are welcome.

There will be wine, cheese, appetizers, coffee and dessert at 6.30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7:30 p.m., lasting about one hour with time for questions or discussions.

Cost is $6 for members and $8 for non-members.

No reservations; pay at the door.

Roberts has traveled to around 70 countries and explored every continent, usually with hiking boots, and always with a camera. Over the years he has shared his images and experiences from these travels in more than 20 presentations at AMC events, as well as at many other locations.

In “It’s a Wild World,” he will focus on and highlight many of the natural wonders he has seen and photographed in his travels around the world.

This presentation will examine the world’s highest mountains, its most barren deserts, its most dramatic waterfalls, and much more.

Roberts is a retired corporate executive and has previously presented on topics ranging from climbing Kilimanjaro, hiking to Everest base camp, south-west Africa, Ethiopia, Egypt, Mali, Rajasthan, south-east Asia, and many others.
