Adventure Traveler Presents 'It's A Wild, Wild World' In Bethel

BETHEL, Conn. – Adventure traveler and photographer David Roberts will make an audio-visual presentation entitled “It’s a Wild, Wild World" to the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church in Bethel.

AMC members and non-members welcome. Wine, cheese, appetizers, coffee and dessert will be served at 6.30 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7:30 p.m., which will last about one hour with time for Q&A. 

Stamford-based Roberts has traveled to 70 countries and explored every continent, usually with hiking boots, and always with a camera. Over the years, he has shared his images and experiences from these travels in more than 20 presentations at AMC events, as well as at many other locations. In the presentation, Roberts will focus on and highlight many of the natural wonders he has seen and photographed in his travels. The presentation will feature wildlife in Africa, North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Arctic and Antarctica, and some of the fascinating people living in the remotest areas around the globe.

Roberts is a retired corporate executive and has previously presented on topics ranging from climbing Kilimanjaro, hiking to Everest Base Camp, South-West Africa, Ethiopia, Egypt, Mali, Rajasthan, South-East Asia, Bolivia, Syria and Jordan, Myanmar, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil and the Arctic.

Cost is $6 for members and $8 for non-members. No reservations are required.
