This informative workshop about potentially lowering your electric bill will feature a rate specialist from the state’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to guide you through the process.
The retail energy market in Connecticut allows electricity customers to shop for the best kilowatt-per-hour rate by comparing and signing deals with suppliers. Some suppliers, despite increasing legislative scrutiny, have enrolled customers into variable rate plans that brought unexpected, skyrocketing costs.
Workshop will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the New Fairfield Senior Center, 33 Route 37.
Bring a copy of your latest electric bill so the PURA rate specialist can review your options.
