Patrick will dissect the current healthcare policy and offer solutions that can change the course of personal healthcare choices. He will explore the complicated issue in terms even newcomers to the healthcare policy debate will understand.
He will also discuss his recently released book, “Health Attitude,” which explores the power of information technology to transform delivery of healthcare services in the U.S.
As a business executive, author and innovative leader in the information technology industry, Patrick helped launch the IBM ThinkPad and was a founding member of the World Wide Web Consortium at MIT.
Now he combines his knowledge of the Internet with his knowledge of healthcare and asks questions that no one has dared to answer: Why is something that is so vital, so complicated and expensive? How does patient safety and quality compare to other countries? Are our hospitals safe? Is Obamacare working? How will the Internet, mobile devices, cloud computing and big data change the future of health care?
Admission includes an autographed choice of one of Patrick’s two new books: “Health Attitude: Unraveling and Solving the Complexities of Healthcare” and “Net Attitude: What It Is, How to Get It, and Why Your Company Can’t Survive Without It.”
Patrick is president of Attitude LLC and is a former vice president of internet technology at IBM, where he worked for 35 years. He holds degrees in electrical engineering, management, law and health administration. He lives in Danbury and Palm Coast, Fla., with his wife, Joanne.
