DANBURY, Conn. – The 2015 Love Wins Mental Health Conference will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, at Western Connecticut State University Visual and Performing Arts Center in Danbury.
The all-day conference focuses on building community and interpersonal connections to prevent violence. The event will honor and celebrate the life of Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, who lost her life at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
Keynote address, “The Neurobiological, Social/ Emotional and Relational Underpinnings of Resilience,” will be given by Dr. Bruce Perry.
Perry is the senior fellow of The ChildTrauma Academy, a not-for-profit organization based in Houston, and adjunct professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Registration fee is $150 and includes all sessions, continental breakfast, lunch and dessert reception.
