Newtown Library Presents You Wrote a Book: Now What?

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Budding writers out there may want to attend an upcoming seminar at the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown featuring the steps needed to get a book published on Tuesday, May 3.

Attendees will be able to gain an insider’s view of book publishing at this program presented by Jan L. Kardys. Kardys has 40 years of publishing experience working for 10 major NYC publishing corporations and is also the creator of Black Hawk Literary Agency and Unicorn for Writers.

During the event, which begins at 7 p.m., Kardys' will share such topics as developing a concept, writing a manuscript, correct formatting, editing, finding a literary agent, negotiating a publishing agreement, the various departments within a publishing companies, self publishing vs. traditional book publishing, subsidiary rights, marketing, utilizing the most cutting-edge technologies and social media services to increase visibility to literary agents, publishers and readers alike. 

The library is at 25 Main St.
