NEWTOWN, Conn. – Ricci’s Salon & Spa of Newtown is having a Cut-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15 to benefit 22 year-old Army Ranger Sean Pesce, of West Haven, who returned from Afghanistan with life-altering injuries.
Pesce was shot 13 times and sustained damage to several major organs. One bullet severed his spine. Pesce is now permanently paralyzed from the waist down. He will receive a custom handicap house through Homes For Our Troops, a national nonprofit that builds handicap houses for young disabled military, at no cost to the solider.
Men’s Barber hair cuts are $20, a women’s hair cut and blow-dry is $25 and women who don’t need a cut but want to donate can get their hair blow dried for $15.
