But they come together to cut loose and do what they love most — play rock music.

“While our jobs pay the bills, our musical talents emerge at night with over 115 years combined musical experience from all of our members,” said Win Sakdinan, 45, who plays guitar with the band.

“We play pop, soul, and whole lot of rock and roll. We have something for everyone’s tastes,” said Sakdinan, who has been playing guitar for over 30 years. He works full time as a global client partner for Twitter.

On The Rocks performs songs from Marvin Gaye, Maroon 5, the Rolling Stones and Adele, among others, in its eclectic mix.

Members of On The Rocks, which was formed in 2014, live in Ridgefield and Bethel.

“We are all corporate people with corporate jobs who have families with kids. Life gets really busy and we need something for ourselves,” he said.

Ridgefield is a “nice, quiet, quaint town, but beneath this town is a rock and roll band that’s bursting to get its name out," he said.

The band performed at the 80th anniversary Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club Gala as well as at the Hideaway in Ridgefield and at BRYAC Restaurant & Raw Bar in Bridgeport.

They practice in the Ridgefield basement of one of their members. “It’s our little clubhouse. Every two or three weeks, we have long marathon sessions — sometimes until 1 a.m,” Sakdinan said. “It’s a good way to let loose at the end of a tough week.”

Because everyone in the band is a business person, they take great pride in their organizational skills.

“We have spreadsheets and documents of songs, and we very carefully have a process of how we conduct our practices,” he said.

“There is just so much magic when you are able to take a skill you have, play music that you love with great friends and see a crowd having a great time,” he said.

He said there are three pillars in people's lives -- family, career and hobbies. “You need something for yourself, and this is our thing.”

Sakdinan grew up in Vancouver and has lived in Ridgefield for five years with his wife, Stephanie, and two sons.

On The Rock's next gig is on Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. at the Redding Roadhouse, 406 Redding Road.
