Rylee Everetts, daughter of Ashley and Shane, is the winner of the 2017 Connecticut Beautiful Baby Photo Contest. She was the first runner-up in last year’s contest.

The Connecticut Beautiful Baby Contest is a friendly competition that serves as a charitable fundraiser.

Rylee’s photo raised the most money in donations to Homes for Our Troops, a national nonprofit that builds handicap-accessible homes for young military veterans who return with life-altering injuries, at no cost to the soldiers.

Two Marines from Connecticut: Staff Sgt. Liam Dwyer of Southbury, as well as Cpl. Roger Rua of Naugatuck, are on the Homes for Our Troop’s waitlist.

And Rylee's fancy ride in the holiday parade is thanks to Mercedes of Danbury.

If you wish to contribute to the Homes for Our Troops in Connecticut, visit www.hfotusa.org/ or call 866-787-6677 for more information.

Checks may be mailed to Homes for Our Troops, 6 Main St., Taunton, MA 02780. Contributions may be earmarked for the Marines from Connecticut.
