BETHEL, Conn. -- The former Bethel restaurateur who was charged with the sexual assault of two waitresses is facing a second trial, according to The News-Times.
The first trial in October 2014 for Antonio “Tony” Fernandes resulted in a hung jury, The News-Times said.
In the arrest warrant affidavit, he claims that "he had consensual sexual relations with the women," in the 2011 separate incidents, said The News-Times.
The new trial date might be set by a judge Wednesday in state Superior Court in Danbury, reported The News-Times.
