"Sorry folks," Mayor Mark Boughton announced on Twitter late Sunday afternoon.

The Memorial Day Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church on Main Street, Boughton said.

This is the second year in a row that the Memorial Day parade has been canceled in Danbury due to rain.

The National Weather Service is calling for rain to begin falling overnight. There is an 80 percent chance of rain before 9 a.m. Monday, with more rain, patchy fog and possibly a thunderstorm through 3 p.m. across Fairfield County.
