Knights Of Rizal Welcomes New Danbury Member

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury resident is among the new members of a more than century-old Filipino civic and cultural organization.

 The Connecticut chapter of the Knights of Rizal has inducted six new members.

They were inducted during the organization's Commander's Ball in North Haven and include Gareth Cometa, of Milford, Kerlen Michael Lim, of Danbury, Raymond Cayabyab, of Watertown, Grant Cometa, of Milford, Ernest De Borja, of Sandy Hook, and Jeffrey Labrador, of Watertown.

The order of the Knights of Rizal is a civic, patriotic and cultural organization established in the Philippines in 1911. It is dedicated to upholding and disseminating the ideas and teachings of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

Today there are chapters in several countries throughout the world.
