A family from the Hudson Valley is reportedly among 12 people killed in a plane crash Sunday in Costa Rica, according to reports from the Central American country.

The five victims of the Westchester family were reportedly 50-year-old Bruce Steinberg, 51-year-old Irene Steinberg and their teenage sons, Matthew, William and Zachary of Scarsdale.

There were no survivors after the single-engine Cessna crashed into a mountainous region in the province of Guancaste while en route to Punta Islita, a beach resort on the Pacific coast, officials said.

Bruce Steinberg and his wife were active with the UJA-Federation of New York. Irene Steinberg chaired the annual campaign kickoff of the organization’s Scarsdale Women’s Philanthropy group in 2015.

Five of the other crash victims were reportedly also United States citizens, with the other two fatalities being crew members.

“The government of Costa Rica deeply regrets the death of 10 American passengers and two Costa Rican pilots,” President Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera of Costa Rica said in a statement.

Video by crhoy.com shows burning wreckage near what appears to be the tail section of the plane.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
