When Will The Power Be Back On In Bethel? Eversource Releases List

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Eversource and United Illuminating are working around the clock to restore power to residents across Fairfield County.

Work has already been completed to return power to thousands of customers who lost power in the powerful nor'easter that hit late Sunday.

But the largest outages in Fairfield County remain in Bethel, Newtown and Ridgefield.

Here are the power outages that remain, as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Eversource and UI:

  • Bethel: 1,114 customers
  • Bridgeport: 66 customers
  • Brookfield: 67 customers
  • Danbury: 268 customers
  • Darien: 99 customers
  • Easton: 4 customers
  • Fairfield: 15 customers
  • Greenwich: 34 customers
  • Monroe: 184 customers
  • New Canaan: 232 customers
  • New Fairfield: 84 customers
  • Newtown: 433 customers
  • Norwalk: 53 customers
  • Redding: 213 customers
  • Ridgefield: 421 customers
  • Sherman: 142 customers
  • Shelton: 2 customers
  • Stamford: 104 customers
  • Stratford: 1 customer
  • Trumbull: 4 customers
  • Weston: 59 customers
  • Westport: 122 customers
  • Wilton: 83 customers

Eversource also released a town-by-town list of when it expects to restore power to all customers. Here are the lists:

The following towns will be restored by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1:

  • Stamford

The following towns will be restored by 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1:

  • Bethel
  • Brookfield
  • Danbury
  • Monroe
  • New Canaan
  • New Fairfield
  • Newtown
  • Norwalk
  • Redding
  • Ridgefield
  • Sherman
  • Weston
  • Westport
  • Wilton

Eversource still needs to restore power to over 43,000 customers across the state. Outages have been restored to over 200,000 since the storm hit. UI has only 266 left customers to restore power to in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

BERLIN, Conn. (Oct. 31, 2017) – Eversource line and tree crews worked overnight Monday to restore power to customers. As of midday Tuesday, Eversource had restored power to more than 229,000 Connecticut customers.

“We’ve made tremendous progress and will continue working 24/7 until all customers have their power back on,” said Eversource Vice President of Electric Operations in Connecticut Michael Hayhurst. “The vast majority of customers in western and central Connecticut will have power restored by tomorrow evening. Given the significant damage in the southeastern part of the state, where we have to rebuild portions of the electric system, we expect power to be restored by Thursday at noon.”

More than 200 additional utility crews from as far as Florida, Ohio, Alabama and Tennessee are assisting. A convoy of close to 30 lineworker crews from New York arrived in Connecticut Tuesday afternoon with dozens of other crews expected to arrive in the state later Tuesday and Wednesday.
