The plane crashed into a hillside just after taking off from Danbury Airport at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Danbury Fire Department spokesperson James Gagliardo. The three male passengers were extricated from the wreckage of the crash and taken to Danbury Hospital.
One man was listed as in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, another was in severe condition and the third was in stable condition.

Gagliardo said Monday that all three remain in the hospital in the same condition as Sunday night. The patient in critical condition was not flown out, as originally planned. The names of the three have not yet been released by the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Transportation Safety Board, or the Danbury Airport Administration.
The NTSB has taken over the investigation, and Gagliardo said that at this point they are still too early in the investigation to release any more information.
