Claudio Matrinez-Abreu, 31, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 after officers with the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (S.I.D.), with the assistance of the Community Conditions Unit, General investigations and a member of the FBI executed a search warrant that included Matrinez-Abreu, his home and his car, police said.
During the search, officers found 720.8 grams (25.43 ounces) of cocaine, a lesser amount of heroin, brass knuckles and a loaded pistol, police said.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs totals more than $31,000, police said.
Matrinez-Abreu is being held at the Danbury Police Station on $200,000 cash bond on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and negligent store of a firearm.
