BETHEL, Conn. --The Bethel Volunteer Fire Department will present a comprehensive overview of “Black Sunday," the Jan. 23, 2005 Bronx fire that took the lives of three FDNY firefighters and injured six more, during a program on Monday, March 14 at Bethel Middle School.

One of the survivors, FDNY firefighter Eugene Stolowski, will present this comprehensive overview of the incident from a personal perspective.

The free program will feature a narrative of the tragedy when six firefighters were forced to jump from a fourth floor window of a burning building on East 178 St. in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx.

The program runs 7 to 10 p.m. in the Bethel Middle School auditorium, 400 Whittlesey Drive, Bethel.
