NEWTOWN, Conn. -- An inmate was charged last week after police said he threw a cup of urine at a guard at Garner Correctional Institution In Newtown, according to a story on newstimes.com.
Connecticut State Police were called to the Newtown prison about 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, on a report of an assault on a correctional officer, newstimes.com said.
According to the state Judicial Branch website, Adal Osorio, 32, was being held at the prison as he awaits trial on felony charges of possession of a weapon at a corrections institution and assault, newstimes.com said.
He now also faces charges of assault on public safety personnel and failure to submit to fingerprinting, newstimes.com said.
