BETHEL, Conn. — A Jeep went over a guardrail and smashed into a tree on Route 53 near Nashville Road in Bethel late Monday afternoon, according to eyewitnesses.

Cars were slowing down in the area and were directed safely around the crash area.
No information was available on the cause of the crash or any injuries.
