NEWTOWN, Conn. — Officers arrested a man on a warrant Friday, April 22, on charges of violating a protective order and assaulting a female victim, according to Newtown Police.
The charges stem from a March 9 incident in which Ricaardo Rojas was with a woman who had a protective order against him, according to police.
Rojas bit the woman and damaged her vehicle while they drove through Newtown, according to police.
Rojas was charged with criminal violation of a protective order third-degree assault, criminal mischief, tempering with a motor vehicle and criminal trover, said police.
He was taken into custody with bail set at $15,000, according to police.
