NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A car's windshield was shattered Monday morning in Newtown after being hit with snow and ice from another car.

The incident happened on Toddy Hill Road and prompted police to post the information and image on Facebook with a warning of the dangers of not completely removing snow and ice from cars after storms.

The car with the broken glass was going north when the chunk of snow and ice flew off and hit the other car, which was traveling in the opposite direction, said police.

Police posted a video from the Weather Channel to further illustrate the dangers of driving with snow on cars. Click here to watch the video.
