NEWTOWN, Conn. — The man accused of firing his way into a Newtown home early Sunday had been involved in a drunken dispute with his girlfriend hours earlier in Monroe, according to The News-Times.
Michael Dziubina, 27, was arrested in the Newtown shooting and charged with first-degree burglary, home invasion, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and first-degree criminal mischief, The News-Times said.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dziubina has been a physician‘s assistant for three years at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport and is an emergency medical technician for Echo Hose Ambulance Corps in Shelton, the News-Times said. He has also been a volunteer firefighter since 2007 for Shelton’s Huntington Fire Co.
