Natasha Pennywell, 34, of West Main Street, was charged with second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, issuing a bad check, third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, police said.

In October 2016, a Weston Road resident told officers she was unable to find her purse and her bank had advised her of fraudulent activity on her account, police said.

Officers investigating learned some of the victim’s belongings were at a Bridgeport pawn shop, police said.

Following up with People’s United Bank, the officer found the suspect withdrew $300 on the victim’s account, police said.

Officers were able to tie Pennywell to Ernest Bailey, a “known criminal” who admitted he conspired with Pennywell on the crime, police said.

Pennywell was arrested on a warrant on July 26. She was processed and released back to court custody.
