BETHEL, Conn. — Credit cards stolen from two motor vehicles in Bethel in break-ins last month have been used at stores across the state, the Bethel Police Department said.

Credit cards and other items were taken from unlocked vehicles parked in residential driveways close to Route 6 and I-84 near Exit 8 in the break-ins on the night of July 27 to July 28. police said.

Two of the stolen credit cards were used on July 28 at Best Buy in Meriden, Target in Meriden, Wal-Mart in Naugatuck, and gas stations in Waterbury and Rocky Hill.

Photographs of a suspect using one of the cards were obtained from the Target and Best Buy locations in Meriden, police said.

On July 28, the suspect left the scene in a silver four-door Honda Civic, police said.

On Aug. 6, the suspect left the scene in what appeared to be a silver four-door Acura with a sunroof, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the pictured suspect is asked to contact Bethel Police Department Detective Frank O’Farrell at 203-744-7900 x105 or fofarrell@bethelpd.com.
