State Trooper Helping Motorist Rear-Ended On Route 7 In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- A Connecticut state trooper who was helping a stranded motorist was rear-ended on Route 7 in Brookfield, according to the Connecticut State Police.

The unidentified trooper was helping the motorist, whose car had broken down, near exit 12 in Brookfield when her cruiser was struck from behind by another vehicle, state police said.

Both the trooper and the operator of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.
