Two Taken To Hospital After Car Hits Guardrail In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Two people were sent to the hospital after a car hit a guardrail on Route 7 in Brookfield on Christmas.

The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and EMS were dispatched to Route 7 northbound between exits 11 and 12 at around 9:45 p.m. Monday for single-car accident. When they arrived, two people were transported to the emergency room, and the crew of Rescue 3 assisted with a small fuel spill, as well as disentangling the car form the guardrail.

An engine form the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department Candlewood Company assisted with traffic control and scene safety. Crews were on scene until around 10:45 p.m.
