Democrat Lee Whitnum was dragged off stage and arrested by police Monday, April 9 during a Democratic gubernatorial forum, according to multiple news reports.

Seven Democrats running for governor were invited to Monday's forum at Brookfield High School. Whitnum was not invited, prompting her removal.

Video posted by Fox61 news shows Whitnum sitting on a chair expressing why she should be a part of the forum.

"I am a Democratic candidate and I have every right to be in this debate, how dare you?" Whitnum said while pointing offstage.

Whitnum fell to the ground and police dragged her off the stage.

Whitnum, 57, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and trespass, according to Brookfield Police.

Whitnum was arrested as "Lisa Baker," which police said is her legal name. She was released on $500 bail and is due in Superior Court in Danbury on April 19.
