Bridgeport Will Enjoy Spring Fling With Temperature Surging Toward 60

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Forget what the groundhog said. Spring weather has moved into Fairfield County, and it's going to stick around for a few more days.

Temperatures are expected to reach the low 60s on Thursday, and high temperatures on Friday and Saturday are also expected to be near 60 degrees. The average high in Fairfield County during February is 40 degrees, while the average low is 28.

Scattered showers are forecast to move into the region on Thursday night. Drizzle and scattered showers are also predicted for Friday, and a steadier rain is expected for Saturday.

The temperatures dip back to more seasonal numbers on Sunday, when the National Weather Service said the highs will reach the mid 40s with mostly sunny skies.

The taste of spring should yield to colder temperatures next week, according to the extended forecast. There is also no forecasts for significant snow in the extended weather outlook.
