High pressure building in the area means that Wednesday is predicted to be sunny, with a high near 78, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

A weak frontal system will pass through the region on Thursday, bringing with it the chance of showers and thunderstorms. The rain is expected to hit in the afternoon into the evening, with some of the storms being strong to severe. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy, with a high around 80. Thursday night will see a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low around 68.

Rain could stick around on Friday, which is predicted to have a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, as well as patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise the day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 77. Friday night will see a chance of showers, with storms also possible after midnight. The low will be around 63.

The weekend is expected to be pleasant. Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 76, and Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 63. Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 80.
