Every child will recognize his or her favorite characters in this classic tale, from the beautiful princess to the evil fairy to Prince Charming, and will delight in the adventures that lead them to their “happily ever after.”

Throughout the performance, there will be many opportunities for the children in the audience to join the actors on stage to help with props, play musical instruments, dance and play different characters, according to a press release.

In addition, children can meet Mother Goose, who will have a gift for each child in her magic bag, according to a press release.

The price for the show is $5. The show starts at 10:30 a.m. on the grounds of Wooster School, 91 Miry Brook Road, Danbury. Lawn chairs or blankets are recommended, and the performances are “rain or shine” with the show moving indoors in case of inclement weather.

The second production in Fairy Tale Theater’s season will be the premiere performance of "The Sword in the Stone," written exclusively for Fairy Tale Theater, on July 11. Rounding out the season will be "The Emperor’s New Clothes" and "The Princess and the Pea" July 18 (two tales for the price of one) and "Alice In Wonderland" July 25.
