Macaroni Kid invites local families to a Family Paint Night at Ben's Bells CT on Friday from 7-9 p.m. During the event parents and children will work together to paint pre-sculpted Ben's Bells beads that will eventually be used to create wind chimes that will be hung randomly throughout the community, in public spaces, for people to find and take home as a reminder to practice intentional kindness.

Tickets are $10 per person. Light refreshments will be served. All of the proceeds will go to Ben's Bells CT, minus the fees for Eventbrite. Space is limited, so an advance RSVP is required. Click here to RSVP.

Macaroni Kid, a national online publication for parents seeking fun things to do with kids, has been selecting local charities to receive acts of kindness this year. Each individual local publisher has chosen his or her own charity to work with.

Ben's Bells is a charity created in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy. Its goal is to inspire, educate and motivate people to realize the impact of intentional kindness, and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness. The group builds ceramic wind chimes, handmade by the community. By the time one Ben’s Bell is complete, at least 10 people have been involved in its creation. Ben’s Bells are hung randomly throughout the community as a reminder to be kind.
