NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Celebrate the return (and final season) of Downton Abbey with a Downton Abbey Tea at the The Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown.

The Annual Downton Abbey Tea will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the library, at 25 Main St., in Newtown.

The snow date is Sunday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m., in the meeting room.

"Downton Abbey" is a British drama series that follows the lives of the Crawley family and its servants in the family's classic Georgian country house. It is broadcast on PBS in the United States.

Tea and treats will be served, and at 2:30 p.m., there will be a talk by textiles expert Susan J. Jerome called "Downton Abbey: Fashion and Social Change."

The talk will be about the notable changes in clothing during this period, including the influential innovations and designers of the time. Dressing up is optional.
