Stamford’s Early-Childhood Fair Promises Fun, Education

STAMFORD, Conn. -- United Way of Western Connecticut and the Stamford Early Childhood Collaborative are celebrating their 8th annual free Early Childhood Fair at Chelsea Piers on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The fair offers young children (up through 8 years) and their families age-appropriate entertainment, games, and hands-on learning activities.

Children can enjoy the Stamford Police and Fire Touch a Truck area, Ferguson Library’s Bookmobile, and performances by The Bossy Frog, Ms. Karen Hall, and The Pender-Keady Academy of Irish Dancers.

Representative from area preschools, child-care centers, and the Stamford Public Schools will have information about programs and registration.

The fair also features information about community-based organizations and the many health, education, and social-service resources available in Stamford.

The fair is open, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
