Tucked away on five oak and maple-filled acres in Bridgeport, The Adventure Park affords guests the opportunity to climb, swing and zip-line through some of the Northeast's most spectacular fall colors. "I think the park is probably the best kept secret in Fairfield County," said Doug Southworth, the park's director of client services. "We're tucked away so once you walk down into the woods, the urban setting quickly disappears. I tell people there's no need to travel upstate to view leaves, they're right here in Bridgeport."

Currently operating on its fall schedule, the park offers aerial trails for guests of all ages. Young children can climb the specifically designed Labyrinth, while older children and adults can enjoy the park's 11 treetop trails.

Watching the action more your style? The park offers fall fun for everyone, regardless of the altitude. Complimentary hot chocolate for both those who watch as well as those who climb helps guests warm up each afternoon.

Although the leaves are still a few weeks away from changing colors, Southworth has noticed more and more people are looking to get outdoors. "It was a hot summer and I think people are anxious to put their jeans on and feel the coolness in the air," he said. "We're seeing a lot of families, but there are also a lot of couples looking to put on their comfy clothes and go outside."

The park has several fall-themed events planned, including a harvest festival and a special Halloween-themed climb. To learn more, visit The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum's website.
