NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A hilltop meadow above the Fairfield Hills municipal campus has been chosen as the site for a memorial to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
The out-of-the-way site was chosen after a two-year search, the News-Times said. Work on a design to memorialize the 26 first-graders and six educators who died in the mass shooting can now begin, the story said.
