Buses Will Replace Trains On Metro-North's Danbury Branch

DANBURY, Conn. -- Metro-North Railroad will be running substitute bus service for Danbury Branch customers between Danbury and South Norwalk on weekends in April.

Substitute bus service will occur for the Danbury branch between Danbury and South Norwalk the first four weekends of April due to track crossing work.

Substitute bus service will occur from Friday evenings through Sundays on April 1 to 3, April 8 to 10, April 15 to 17 and April 22 to 24 due to track crossing work at various locations, Metro-North said. 

Buses will run about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled trains. Commuters are advised to listen for announcements and check local or express service to their destination while boarding.

The Danbury branch includes stops at Danbury, Bethel, West Redding, Branchville in Ridgefield, Cannondale in Wilton, Wilton, Merritt 7 in Norwalk and South Norwalk.
