NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Residents with complaints ranging from hitting a pothole to having their mailbox damaged can now just click online to have their problem taken care of, according to the Newtown Bee.
The website is on the home page at newtown-ct.gov. , and residents just have to click on a button directing them to the Public Works Department, where they will find a user-friendly forms to alert city workers to their problem, said the newspaper.
Once the complaint is received, public works employees will prioritize and dispatch crews to respond via wireless tablets being carried in town vehicles, the Newtown Bee said.
First Selectman Pat Llodra has worked for nearly four years to have the city develop such as a system, the paper said.
