Ridgefield Man Wins Pulitzer For Reporting On Russian Cyberinvasion of U.S.

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield resident and New York Times reporter Mike McIntire and his team were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting on Monday.

McIntire, along with Andrew Higgins, Andrew Kramer, Neil MacFarquhar, Eric Lipton, Jo Becker, David Sanger, Eric Schmitt, Scott Shane, Steven Erlanger and Barry Meier won the award for their investigative series on Russia’s covert projection of power, including the story of how Russian cyberpower invaded the U.S.

This is McIntire's second Pulitzer. He was part of a team at The Hartford Courant that also won for investigative reporting. McIntire has also been a Pulitzer finalist on two other occasions. 

It was one of three Pulitzers awarded to The New York Times this year. The publication has won 122 Pulitzer Prizes total.
