Thousands Without Power Across Fairfield County On Monday Due To Nor'easter

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Thousands of residents across Fairfield County are waking up Monday morning to find they have no power after a nor'easter blew through the area overnight with heavy rain and strong winds.

As of 7:15 a.m. Monday, here are the number of power outages reported in each town by Eversource and United Illuminating :

Bethel: 1,691 customers (20% of town)
Bridgeport: 174 customers
Brookfield: 321 customers
Darien: 1671 customers
Danbury: 1,115 customers
Easton: 72 customers
Fairfield: 392 customers
Greenwich: 165 customers
Monroe: 238 customers
New Canaan: 1,208 customers (14% of town)
New Fairfield: 92 customers
Newtown: 916 customers (8% of town)
Norwalk: 620 customers
Redding: 371 customers
Ridgefield: 3,204 customers (20% of town)
Sherman: 135 customers
Shelton: 120 customers, down from 930
Stamford: 208 customers
Stratford: 139 customers
Trumbull: 218 customer
Weston: 118 customers
Westport: 3,232 customers (26% of town)
Wilton: 526 customers (7% of town)

It was not clear when the outages would be fully restored.

Large power outages were reported statewide. As of 7:15 a.m. Monday, Eversource reported 155,613 customers without power, and United Illuminating reported 5,684 customers without power.
