NEWTOWN, Conn. — A Bridgeport man is facing charges in connection with a crash in April in Newtown in which an 86-year-old woman died, police said.
Terrelle Anderson, 32, was arrested last week and charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt, and failure to keep right on a curve, Newtown police said.
The accident happened at 11:30 a.m. April 4.
Anderson was driving a 2005 Buick westbound on Mt. Pleasant Road when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2016 GMC Terrain SLT at Taunton Lane, police said.
Delores Hake, an 86-year old Southbury woman who was a passenger in the GMC Terrain, was taken to Danbury Hospital, where she died from her injuries in the crash.
Forest Herron, 86, of Southbury, who was driving the GMC Terrain, and Anderson were also transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries.
Anderson was released on $20,000 bond for a Sept. 28 court appearance.
