The three people arrested Wednesday morning are:
- William “June” Carrasquillo, 39, of 190 Triangle St.,
- Ashleigh Studwell, 29, of 190 Triangle St., and
- Chanmor Andy Khuth, 26, of 6 Golden Hill Road, Apt. 11.
They were arrested while in the middle of a suspected drug transaction at Byron and White streets, police said.
The three suspects had a considerable quantity of illegal prescription drugs and powder cocaine in their possession, police said.
Police said they also seized U.S. currency and a vehicle. They didn't say how much cash, other than to say it was "substantial." They also didn't release the make and model of the vehicle.
Police also executed a search of the Carrasquillo and Studwell's residence
Carrasquillo was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and operating a motor vehicle without a license. His bond was set at $10,000.
Studwell was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. She was released on a promise to appear.
Khuth was charged with charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $10,000.
The investigation began several weeks earlier after residents' complaints of drug dealing from the Triangle Street apartment and from Carrasquillo's vehicle, police said.
Police set up surveillance on the apartment and received arrest and search warrants based on the information they gathered.
A search of the residence didn't turn up any further evidence, police said.
