Newtown Man Dies In Suspected Overdose

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Officers from the Newtown Police Department responded to a report of a possible overdose at 48 Bears Hill Road, on Monday, about 9:50 a.m, police said.

Upon arrival, the officers were informed by Emergency Medical Services personnel that Robert C. Pixley III, was deceased, officers said.

EMS pronounced the man dead at approximately 10 a.m. The body was removed to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for examination, officials said.

This case is open pending issuance of death certificate, officials said.
