Stratford Police: Two Injured In Collision Of Cruiser, Honda

STRATFORD, Conn. -- Two people including a Stratford police officer were in stable condition after a collision between a police cruiser and a Honda Friday morning, Stratford Police said.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Barnum Avenue and California Street at about 9:20 a.m., police said. The accident involved a Honda traveling north on California Street and a Stratford Police cruiser traveling west on Barnum Avenue, police said. 

Both drivers were transported to Bridgeport Hospital after the crash and were listed in stable condition, police said.

The scene was cleared after the road had been closed for about two-and-a-half hours to traffic.

The incident was being investigated, and no further information was released by police.
