The incident began around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when Josephine Aliberti, of the Bronx, refused to stop for a trooper for driving erratically in Stamford, the state police said.

During the pursuit she repeatedly exited and re-entered I-95, traveling between Exit 4 and 5, the arrest report said.

At one point during the pursuit, Aliberti was unable to return back to I-95 and troopers chased her through Greenwich, with assistance from the Greenwich Police Department, the report said.

Her vehicle was ultimately boxed in on Steamboat Road where she was taken into custody.

Aliberti was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension, operating a motor vehicle at too slow a speed, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility, unsafe movement of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance, and interfering with an officer and resisting arrest.

She is being held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
