The event will include an extended happy hour with free appetizers. Drinks will be available at the bar. Harding will make some brief remarks at approximately 6:45 p.m., followed by the opportunity to ask questions.

For residents of the 107th District. that have not yet met Harding, the kickoff represents a prime opportunity to do just that in an open, relaxed and informal setting. There is no cost to attend the event, and all members of the public and local media are cordially invited.

Harding was elected to the Connecticut State Assembly in a special election held in February 2015. He represents the 107th District, which is comprised of Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury.

He is a member of the legislature's committees on Finance, Revenue & Bonding, Energy & Technology, and the Joint Judiciary Committee. In his short time in office, Harding has already demonstrated an energetic and effective work ethic that reflects his commitment to address issues that are at the core of getting Connecticut’s economy back on track.

Earlier this month, he requested committee action on nearly 30 pieces of new legislation regarding prevailing wages, property taxes, fair elections, affordable housing, crimes involving minors and education costs.

Of perhaps greatest interest to Bethel, Brookfield and Danbury is Harding's multi-faceted approach to mitigate, reduce and eventually eliminate the state’s 8-30g Affordable Housing statute that has proven particularly burdensome to communities across the state while setting back good-faith affordable housing initiatives that were already underway.

Harding is a near lifelong resident of the 107th District. He graduated from Brookfield High School and Albertus Magnus College and received his Juris Doctor degree from the New York School of Law.

He is currently in private practice in Danbury. Harding is a volunteer member of the Brookfield Board of Education and is active in community affairs, most notably youth sports programs.

O'Connor's Pub is at 317 Federal Road, Brookfield.
