Senate Bill 303 will establish an entrepreneur learner’s permit pilot program administered by Connecticut Innovations.
The program will provide permits to new entrepreneurs that waive any state or municipal filing, licensing or permitting fees associated with starting a new business for two years.
“Anything we can do to support our businesses and technological innovation is a measure I will support,” said Harding. “Connecticut has a long history of success in specialty manufacturing and ingenuity, and I hope we can continue to inspire the originality that keeps our professionals competitive in our already demanding and costly market.”
The bill was passed unanimously in both the House and Senate, and now awaits the governor’s signature to make it into law.
