The event is from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Ave., Hartford.

“This is a key opportunity for local businesses to interact with their legislators in Hartford while decisions are being made that could affect them,” Carter said. “I encourage all to attend: advocate for yourself and your business. Get Connecticut working for you.”

Speakers and attendees will include Gov. Dannel Malloy; JoAnn Ryan, president & CEO of Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives; Joe Brennan, president and CEO of CBIA; Bonnie Stewart, VP of government and public affairs at the General Counsel; and John Emra, president of AT&T Connecticut.

A legislative update and informational session on how to effectively engage legislators will take place from 10-11 a.m. It will feature a new, interactive and innovative click-polling technology to help participants gain deeper insights into the issues at the Capitol and how companies across Connecticut are engaging their elected officials.

Additionally, local and regional legislators from Fairfield County will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. to hear about the issues that matter most to residents and businesses.

Those interested in attending can register for free by clicking here.
